The Foster Village Park is located off of Rufe Snow and Starnes.
We had the park to ourselves since many must have thought it too cold outside but today was simply gorgeous. There was a cool breeze but the sun warmed our faces and it was a really beautiful time.
Drying off the slight dew that had accumulated on the slides allowed for my son to have a good half hour of time on the play structure before he noticed the bridge and the water. What kid doesn’t love water right? We went across the bridge where we picked dandelions and blew the seeds into the wind and I sat and watched while he threw leaves into the water. And then sticks. And then more leaves. And then finally decided to pick the yellow dandelions and watch as the current carried them down stream.
Foster Village park has a basketball court, 2 lighted tennis courts, 5 baseball fields, play structure, bridges and trails, restrooms, picnic tables and 2 pavilions. There is also the Foster Village house that can be rented for events at the corner of the park. Please visit the Foster Village link above for more information on how to do that. All together, the park is 12 acres.
North Richland Hills TX is one of the best cities for parks. Not only does NRH have a ton of parks here but each surrounding
community has a lot as well. Trail systems link up many of the parks in this area so that you can bike, hike or walk and always be able to get to a park. The North Richland Hills community takes its outdoor recreation seriously and wants the great outdoors to be accessible to everyone.
