My Settlement Coordinator, Kim, is "House Hunting" and wrote this post to share with other house hunters!

Working with the Joy Daniels Real Estate Group and the clients we have come to know as our friends has been an experience that I am grateful to be a part of. As I approach my eight year anniversary of being a part of this great group of people, I find myself looking forward to new experiences, new friends and more exciting ways to assist our clients in making their dreams come true.

Home shopping myself, I understand the desire to find a home that fulfills all the specific criteria that we all find important. Accepting that this process can be quick or take some time, patience is something that goes hand-in-hand when searching for that home with the right “feel”.  I have learned the importance of a Buyer Specialist and appreciate the assistance, information, attention to detail and professionalism I have received.

In your search, keep in mind that the more specific your needs are, the longer your process will be … this is where patience comes in.  If you are not finding the house hunting process successful, be prepared to eliminate some options that may not be necessary in your search.  Perhaps what you eliminate can be improved upon in a home that you decide to move forward with.

Determining what are the most important options, ones that you refuse to compromise will help you increase your options. For us, location is most important. We also need at least a two car garage, a yard for the dog, an open floor plan and ideally, a fireplace . . . but a fireplace is something we could add in the future.  Also at one time, a master bedroom with a jacuzzi seemed important but as I mentioned, but a bathroom can be remodeled so to not limit the options, we don’t look for those things anymore.

So to my fellow house hunters - buyers, I know it is a process that can be frustrating and exciting all at the same time but remember that the end result will be a house that will become your home with a little love when you put your personal touch on it.  And if you purchase with Joy Daniels Real Estate Group ,  I will be there with you (I'll be your Settlement Coordinator) as well as the rest of this wonderful team helping and guiding you through.
