Blue Stop SignBlue Hawaii

You may have heard the song Blue Hawaii, but we were stopped in our tracks :) when we saw this blue stop sign. In fact, I made Tami turn around and go back so I could take a picture of it.

We're so used to seeing things a certain way, that this blue sign really made us aware. It was on the north shore of Oahu, and may have been a private sign of the resort, but it did make you aware as you got back out on the main road.

Unlike my earlier post on the color of Yield signs,  this post isn't meant to send you out to look at stop sign colors (all the others I saw are indeed still red with white letters).

When Kathy came to visit she was in awe....the blue sign was at Zippy's Restaurant. Blue stop means private areas and put up by the business etc.... warning

Hi Sharon,

Wow, that's quite a disconnect for me, too funny.

Very surprising!  I think I would use it as a visual reminder to....  STOP:  think out of the BOX!

I am glad you took a photo...I could never have imagined it!
