How does the Worthington real estate market compare to the Columbus Board of REALTORS mls?  With 6.3 months of inventory the real estate market through out central Ohio is more balanced than the market in Worthington.  

The homes here are single family resale homes in the Worthington City School District. The  Worthington school district in northern Franklin County includes homes in the City of Worthington as well as homes in the City of Columbus, homes in the Village of Riverlea and homes in unincorporated areas in Perry and Sharon Township.

  • Homes for sale 86 vs. 145 in January 2012
  • Months of inventory 2.7  vs.  4.8 in January 2012


The Current number of months for sale vs. the number of months of inventory for sale in January 2012 is down
44.4%. Home sales in Worthington were only up 6.7% from January 2012, a differnence of two properties. The number of homes for sale is down 40.7% from a year ago. 

A sellers market - Worthington home prices

When inventory goes down prices should go up.  The January 2013 average list price of $240,000 is up 5.7% from January 2012. Average and median sale price of Worthington homes were not up in January 2013.  The average sale price of a home in Worthington schools in Januay 2013, $222,000 was down 0.4% from January 2012.  The median sale price of a home in Worthington was down 5.9% at $206,000.   Home sale prices should start going up in Worthington.

The number of days on market for a Worthington home to sell is down 24.8% from last year.  Days on market is 85.

Gosh I wish I could send you direct to a search.  I could a couple of months ago (Real Living HER site... cha cha changes since.)   I set up a link to search homes in  Worthington schools on my HER Realtors site, the link was placed here a couple of days ago. I've checked back a couple of times.  It worked two days ago.  It does not work now.

*I was seeing a Gahanna search up to $165,000.  The home on the right is a home in Dayton, Ohio...  (another mls.... miles away if you are not from around these parts.)
