We were recently given a lesson in the First Amendment, so if you write and you have an opinion and you write about other people, the guys at Sellsius provide a pretty good tutorial on the law and how to protect yourself.

Wow, It continually amazes me how the taxing authorities work. Our area is not one that is totally out of wack with reality but my parents live in Penna and Arkansas and they are both in areas that scare me. I routinely assist my buyers in protesting their assessments if they are higher than the price they paid for the home. I've had some success, sometimes we have to go after them several years in a row to get the taxes down to where they should be. If you are interested in how we do this send me an email and I'll give you the info.
You hang in there I think you are doing all the people in your area a great service by bringing this to the public forum.
Thanks for the tips. Residents and I are aware of the appeal process, but the issue was that a certain public official was obviously pissed off at me for shedding light on the real situation and went after me. Don't worry...I don't back down.
