Preschoolers Story and Social Time at Maud Marks Library Katy

I have  said this in the past and I will say it again in this post That I really like what the local libraries in both Harris County and Fort Bend County are doing as far as programs which provide value for the local residents. The Maud Smith Marks Branch Library in Katy is offering opportunities for preschoolers to enjoy story time and socializing time with other children. At these early ages socializing with different children and reading stories to the child have been found in numerous research studies to be very important in the development of any child.

The Maud Smith Marks Branch Library is located at 1815 Westgreen Blvd. Katy texas 77450 and phone is 281-492-8592. If you want more information about Maud Smith Marks Branch Library go to here. This library is part of the Hrris County Library system.

Let's hope Kindles and the like - NEVER replace a good old fashioned book. I'm a big believer in making readers early - read to my kids from 0 - up and do the same for the grandbabies. :) Hope you're having a productive Friday Bob.

Given this cell phone, ipad world we live today, especially for the younger set, face to face is so important and having your library promote it is a very good idea. Who knows, they may even pick up a book and have a peak!!! cheers cvc

I couldn't agree with you more. Teach a child to read and they should NEVER be bored. Regardless of their circumstances in life, they will always be able to educate themselves, travel to different parts of the world, take a peek into the lives of past and present people... all from the comfy of their own home or the local library. Reading is a gift!
