We are all in this together.  Come join us on our quest to be healthy in 2013.

So many people have already submitted their goal setting posts for the Getting Healthy in the Rain Contest.

There have been several people who were not aware of the contest and we don't want them to miss out on the chance to change their health with our support.

We have decided to extend the deadline for the first goal setting post to Saturday, February 9, 2013.

The Challenge

  • Set a health related goal - This doesn't have to be weight loss related.  it could be to exercise more, get more regular sleep, lower your blood pressure, stop smoking, cut back on your drinking, whatever you think you need to change.
  • Write a post about the goal - explain why you have chosen this goal and how you would like to be supported.  The first post needs to be completed by 2/9/2013.
  • Update your progress - Write a post updating us on how it's going by 3/4/2013.  Tell us how it's going.  Discuss your challenges and successes.
  • Final Post - Before 4/1/2013 write a sum up post.  Discuss how it went.  Focus on how you are going to continue the healthy behavior throughout the year.
  • Posts your blogs in the Get Healthy in the Rain Group.  Feel free to post there often for ongoing support as we try to get healthy together.

The Points

  • Upon completion of the contest, send one email with a link to all three blogs to me and Kerrie Greenhalgh in one email to receive 1500 points.
  • At the end of the challenge the three greatest health triumphs will receive a featured post and 3000 bonus points.

I have resolved to lose weight and exercise more as my response to this challenge.  Friday night was a setback when we enjoyed drinks and dinner with friends at Outback.  Back to the diet!

Have a great weekend.

Oh Roy, I understand. Good thing we have ActiveRain to get us back on track. Tonight it's P. F Chang, but I went for two mile walk this afternoon. Does that count?

Donna, good for you. Thank goodness for this contest. I need the reminder and support of others. It is so easy to get off track. FUN though . . . sometimes.

I got mine in the last day (origianal). I need to get out and walk more. So far, I've only gone once but we have been busy. (no excuse, I know).

Toni, I can relate. Time has way of escaping us, but the pounds don't. Stacey- Ann had the right idea when she started this contest. Great way to remind us.
