Tyrol Cot Heritage Village was the home of Sir Grantley Adams, the first Premier of Barbados. It's also the birthplace of his son Tom, the second Prime Minister of Barbados. The house was constructed 1854 by William Farnum.
Chattel House is the Barbadian word for a small moveable wooden house used by plantation workers.
It was designed to easily be moved from one place to another and was assembled without nails.
