• Last Thursday and Friday I attended the Certified Luxury Home Designation class taught by Active Rain guru Sharon Simms and her daughter Tami Simms-Powel.
  • Sunday I got a commitment for 4 new listings that we will be putting up over the next couple of months.
  • Monday: opened a new escrow, had 3 home inspections, attended the CRS Sell-a-bration, help host the Honolulu Active Rain Gathering with members from around the country and Active Rain founder Matt Heaton and wife Lydia in attendance.
  • Tuesday I closed a nice escrow and got a commitment for another listing and attended the CRS Sell-a-bration and the CRS Fun Night.  At the Fun night I sat with top agents from around the country including a really fascinating agent from the Bahamas, who joined Active Rain today.
  • Wednesday I attended the CRS Sell-a-bration, invited several more agents to join Active rain over lunch and won a grand prize at the CRS convention. (More on that later).  I then had an evening community meeting followed by a dinner.
  • Thursday I signed a great listing of an older home on the hill with a nice view and did a walk through of another one that they are getting ready for sale.  I will most likely be putting that on the market in about 2 or 3 months. That evening I taught my chess class.
  • Friday I came up for air.  I am catching up on paperwork, follow-ups and Active Rain.
  • Tomorrow I will be back hitting it, starting with another listing appointment, followed by showing homes to a buyer and speaking at a doctors conference in Honolulu about my experiences with my tremendous weight loss over the last year.

This has been my first chance to take a deep breath in a week.  I would not have been able to juggle that insane schedule if it were not for having technology and great support.  Cell phone and a laptop makes my office anywhere where I am.  Having wonderful agents in my office like Celeste " WooHoo Sally" Cheeseman and Karen Davidson covering for me in a pinch made me look good to my clients even when I was cutting it a little too tight.

Looking back, it was a great ride.  With my batteries completely recharged at the CRS conference, the Simms luxury homes classes and the Active Rain Gathering I am ready to hit the ground running and have a great 2008.

Brian - I has been a heck of a week.

Linda - I am very lucky to work with such great folks.  We help each other out without question.

Thesa - There will always be time for yourself, when things slow down a bit.  Now that the convention is over things will settle down a bit.

Matt - We were so happy to see you and Lydia make it out.  I hope you got a good recharge while you were here.

Cynthia - I was pretty tired.  I was fighting a mean cold and sore throat the end of last week and the early part of this week.

Randy... glad that things have started out great for 2008. And you hit the nail on the head, a cell phone and lap top makes this more possible and easier to manage. Go get them tiger...

Randy-I have been going through files and cleaning them out....I too need to work on the websites....I paid DAKNO Marketing (Brad Carrol) to do an extensive evaluation, never knowing it would end up to be a 19 page one......so you see, it's easier for me to clean out files then to re-do my website :) :)  Are you doing your own???

Debbie - I doubt that, but I did have a great week.

Kathy - I built my own website, but came away with some new tools at the CRS Sell-a-bration that I will be using to beef up the site.  I am hoping to have the upgrading well under way by next week.
