9 Comments on The Paczki are Here! - Woodmoor Bakery Silver Spring, MD
Debbie....they have these at my favorite grocery store every year and yet I have never tried them. And from what I understand, it is pronounced something like "Poonch-key"?
Debbie - Greetings from California. I'd love some of the paczki (pronounced "pohchki"). I'm originally from Poland and miss this tradition.
I love blogs with photos I want to eat! Saves me on calories!! What a great tradition and anything deep fried with a dough made of sugar, stuffed with sweet filling is definately a wonderful treat in my book.
Good evening debbie, those look and sound tasty. They remind me of that tasty pastry in New Orleans. I hope you get some before they run out this year!! Do they only make them at this time of year?
Debbie, they look yummy!! Like Carla, I love posts about food! Hope you'll get to have some before Lent.

Here's Hoping the Paczki are plentiful, there is no long line and they don't run out! I am going to have to check to see if they have any Paczki in Nashua.. These look so good. We have a new bakery in town and I will have to check this out.
Debbie, eat enough of these and you'll have a Fat Tuesday alright!
Debbie, We have some local bakeries that make them also. Quite delicious, but I suspect total diet destroyers! We've managed to not partake this year, and with today marking the last day and my schedule what it is, I think it's safe to say I won't make it this year.
Debbie, OMG. My Polish grandmother in Milwaukee always made these. We just called them prune donuts. I have tried to get a recipe from relatives and have not. Thanks. Just as soon as I am able i'm going to make these. Not alot of Polish bakeries in Naples Florida.
