Let Me Brag!
I know it’s not a good thing to boast. But sometime you just have to! This is one of those times. Last Thursday I had the honor of having dinner with Connie Harvey.
Connie had traveled to Dallas for a convention and contacted me to see if I was willing to meet her somewhere for dinner. We decided that Corsicana would be a good place to meet and that is exactly what we did.
We both walked up to Chili’s at the exact same time. It was so funny! We both knew immediately who the other was! Of course, I had The Princess Mama (TPM) with me, and EVERYONE recognizes TPM! ;)
Anyway... for the next 2 and a half hours we visited like long lost cousins. It was awesome!
We laughed at how people are so much better in person than in their blogs. Of course we have already come to like them through their blog and meeting them is just icing on the cake.
Connie didn’t let me down. She is even warmer, funnier, and more upbeat than she is in her writings. If you ever get the chance to have dinner with her, DO IT!
Warning to ActiveRain Newbies.
This is the kind of thing you can expect to be doing in the future. Hopping in your car and driving for an hour, or more, to have dinner with someone that you’ve never met in person, and have only talked to on the internet. I know.... you’re thinking R...IIIIII...GHT !
