My friend Angelette Avilles just opened up her Cupcake Boulevard storefront!
Angelette started her business last year and has been working out of Roundz Gourmet baking her cupcakes, then taking them to Montgomery County on her Cupcake Truck. The Cupcake Truck is still running, they have just expanded so that people can come to their physical location and they have more room to bake.
These are not just any cupcakes, each one is a gourmet masterpiece of tantalizing goodness! The bakers at the designer cupcake bakery, Cupcake Boulevard, make literally hundreds and some days thousands of cupcakes. Even then they can’t always stock all of the flavors, from the classic Vanilla (made with real vanilla and butter of course) to all kinds of creative flavors, a few of which are: Snickerdoodle, S’mores, Red Velvet, Guava, Nutella, Peanut Butter Cup, Key Lime, Almond Joy, Salted Caramel, Purple Velvet (Ravens), German Chocolate Cake, French Toast, Strawberry, Dreamsicle, Dulce de Leche, Caramel Macchiato, Chocolate Lava… wow!
In addition to buying cupcakes, there is also a Party Room at Cupcake Boulevard! This is perfect for birthdays, scout meetings, school projects, you name it. For birthday parties, each guest gets a cupcake to decorate, frostings, toppings, fondant, another cupcake to bring home, a drink, plates, napkins, utensils, recipe card for all attendes, apron with embroidered name for the birthday child or adult host, and a tour of the kitchen. The lesson includes filling the inside of the cupcake with different flavors, topping it with frosting and sprinkles as well as learning how to use fondant to decorate the cupcake based on various themes. Basic themes are floral, pirates, sports, oceans, princess, music, seasons, and holidays or you can call and discuss your own ideas!
Cupcake Boulevard will also do custom cupcakes for any occasion. How about a First Communion celebration with communion wafers and crosses made of fondant? Custom company logos on cupcakes for a work party? Cupcakes with your favorite team logo and/or ball? My daughter's friend Lexy is planning on ordering cupcakes with glow-in-the-dark icing for a black light party!
Cupcake Boulevard is located in Crofton, Maryland (near Annapolis), across the street from the McDonalds by Five Guy’s burgers and Vocelli Pizza:
1117 State Route 3 North, Suite 104
Gambrills, MD 21054
443-875-1645 or 301-328-2875
The store hours are Wed – Friday 11am-7pm, Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-5pm, and Mon/Tue they are closed.
If you’re driving through the area, make sure to stop and see what all the fuss is about! Make sure to get there early in the day because many days they sell out several flavors and some days they sell ALL of them!
Oh and expect to bring home at least a dozen like we did!
