Before and After...

This is how she looked in January, 2006 on her 111th birthday. This broken down old building was in it's glory in 1985.  Originally the headquarters of the L & N Train Lines, this building was the focal point for the resort/spa town of Blue Ridge Georgia.  Individuals travelled to this mountain getaway to enjoy the restorative powers of the crystal clear mountain water. Original paintings depict children playing in the streets, horse-drawn buggies, and women in long gowns strolling down the dirt roads of this charming historic town.

A team of historic preservation specialists went to work on bringing this building back to it's former glory.  Today she is the home of the Coldwell Banker High Country Team.  Rarely does a week go buy without a visitor or two who remember bits and pieces of this building's history.  Should you ever be in the neighborhood of our charming resort community we hope you will drop by so that we may share some southern hospitality.

Blue Ridge today is a thriving resort market.  With an abundance of art galleries, antique shops, hiking trails, lakes and rivers...there is something for everyone.  We specialize in log homes, investment properties, lake and river properties, acreage, cottages, and country estates.  Please visit us on our website at www.cbHighCountry.com .

June,  the building looks great!  I have been Blue Ridge before and I absolutely love the town.  There seems to be some great things happening up there.

Very nice job.  Should be a very nice office for years to come.

Wow it is great restoration.  I'm sure it is a building for the community to be proud of.

June...This building has turned out beautiful...thanks for helping to restore some of our history of Blue Ridge. My husband Terry was born in the building next to it, by Dr. Burns. Downtown is really looking nice! And welcome to Active Rain!

June,

This is absolutely a beautifully restored historic building and now an incredible point of interest in downtown Blue Ridge. Great job George and June!
