Noblesville, Indiana is located North of Indianapolis in Hamilton County, about a 30 minute commute to downtown but with all the advantages of vacation living! There is Morse Reservoir where you can boat, swim, jet ski, paddleboat, fish, sail etc! Boats & paddleboards are even available for rent! There is a public beach at Morse Park Beach, which has a wonderful playground, picnic areas, docks, even a disc golf course! 
Fireworks are shot off over Morse every 4th of July and the parade of boats & fun to be had is wonderful!
There is also a new Beach Tennis club on the water,
associated with Harbour Trees Golf Course where you can come up by boat, swim, have a drink or lunch & just socialize! Harbour Trees, is one of 20 courses located in Hamilton County, so plenty of golfing, if that is your passion.
My family lived in Noblesville for 13 years and found it to be family friendly with lot's of things to do year round!

Noblesville’s Forest Park also offers golf, multiple playgrounds, an aquatic center, a Merry-Go Round, tennis, basketball & volleyball courts, a skateboard park, miniature golf, baseball fields & free concerts & movies in the park during the summer! David Boudia, the gold and bronze medal winner from the 2012 London Olympics grew up and trained at the Forest Park Aquatic center.
Downtown Noblesvillehas the charm of the square and the original courthouse (it is the Hamilton County Seat) as well as many local shops and restaurants.
There is also a new outdoor mall, Hamilton Town Center where you will find many of the brand names you are familiar with and Klipsch Music Center; and outdoor amphitheatre that hosts all the biggest names in music during the warmer months! All of this as well as 5 star schools, low crime rates & the proximity of Indianapolis for major league sports, additional shopping, museums & other entertainment options.
Noblesville is the kind of town where neighbors know neighbors, they have a Homecoming Parade in the fall and everyone comes, where people follow the HS basketball & football team & go to games, even when they don’t have a child playing!
