Valentine’s Day means something different to everyone... What does Valentine’s Day mean to you?
To some people February 14th might mean nothing more than a hallmark holiday created by greeting card companies, candy companies and florists to promote higher sales, while other people may just go about their business like today is any other Thursday.
However for those romantic souls who take every opportunity to celebrate life to the fullest extent, today might be another wonderful occasion to express their love for the person/people they hold closest to their heart.
Below you'll find a link for a song that has alway had a special meaning for me, especially on today’s date. I hope you and your special someone will enjoy it...
"My Valentine" ~ by Martina McBride & Jim Brickman
For those of you that have not already made plans for tonight, here are a couple Valentine’s Day ideas that I have personally tried in the past and can give a two (2) thumbs up:
1.) My 2012 Valentine’s Day was spent at The Common Man restaurant where I enjoyed a cozy loveseat for 2 in front of a fire with a glass of wine and an appetizer then adjoining into the Billiards room for a friendly game of Pool.

The Common Man in Ashland serves; prime rib, home made baked macaroni and cheese, and their famous crab cakes (voted “Best of NH” 5 years in a row by readers of “New Hampshire Magazine”).
Dinner is served at 5:00pm in the dining room, or you can make yourself at home upstairs in their Lounge where you can cozy up on one of the loveseats in front of the wood stove and listen to some music with a cocktail while you enjoy an appetizer.
2.) My 2000 Valentine's Day was spent at the Nestlenook Estate & Resort as we ice skated hand-in-hand then stopped to take a break and cuddle by the fire while sipping hot chocolate.

This was the closest thing I had ever seen to a real life “Currier and Ives;” with the beautiful Victorian home all decorated in white lights, the frozen lake and the horse-drawn carriage.
Whatever your plans are for tonight I hope you have a HAPPY Valentine’s Day.
