New Park in Natomas Open!

With Amenities for Children, Youth, and Adults,
California Lilac Park Opens for Public Use

Sacramento, California, January 17, 2007*California Lilac Park, North
Natomas' newest neighborhood park, is open for public use.  Situated on
3.3 acres of land, the park adds to the many recreation options
available to the North Natomas community.

California Lilac Park's full basketball court, comfortable benches,
native shrubs and landscaping, and large multipurpose field are sure to
meet the needs of youth and adults.  The park also offers a one-of-a-kind
amenity for children 2 to 5 years old*a dragon and castle themed play
area with a surprise around every corner.  Before children can reach the
castle-themed play structure, they must cross a large body of water
that is inhabited by a dragon.  After arriving at the castle, children are
rewarded with imaginative play and adventure that rivals any found in
popular storybooks.

"California Lilac Park combines mystery and wonder, which is the basis
of our children's desire to learn about the natural world around them,"
said Councilmember Ray Tretheway. "I invite families from throughout
the city to play, relax, and enjoy Sacramento's newest park."

California Lilac Park is located at 1601 Club Center Drive, at the
intersection of Club Center Drive and Regency Park Circle.  The park will
open from dawn to dusk.
