Cheap Car Insurance NOT the Best Value,When you have client in the car

Auto insurance is not like other consumer products. While you might go to the grocery store looking for a cheap brand of paper towels or frozen vegetables.

Auto insurance is not a product that should be substituted with a “cheap” option; and honestly, you don’t want it to be.

The real value of your auto coverage stems from its ability to make you whole after suffering a financial loss due to an insurable event. It also creates value by protecting you from serious liabilities that could completely wipe out your savings.

If you are driving clients in your car and showing them homes. You  want to make sure you are properly covered in case there is an accident.

When you purchase cheap auto insurance instead of considering the value of the policy and the protections it provides, you are looking only at the price. If you’re not careful, this can lead you to obtain a policy that does little to protect your family from the financial damages that can follow a covered incident and could mean that you forsake your savings for your premium.

In addition, buying cheap auto insurance can mean that you purchase from an insurance company that does not have the financial ability to meet their promises, which adds even more potential for financial damages to your plate.

Instead, when shopping for auto insurance, evaluate the value of the actual policy and how it can protect you, your family and your savings after an accident instead of just looking at the premium.

You should also keep in mind that premiums are dynamic. They can be influenced by driving courses, safety measures and an improved driving record.

By taking measures to improve your driving habits, the premium quote you get today can be reduced in the future without forsaking a policy’s actual value.

We welcome the opportunity to serve your auto insurance needs.

Worse yet is you are hit by a driver who only is insured to the STATE MINIMUM. We had our daughter's 7 month old car get hit and totaled by a pizza delivery guy who had Safe Auto and their $5,000 minimum coverage in PA  . My daughter loan balance was $19,600 and Safe Auto was thinking about giving us $5,000 towards it !!! Thank goodness for our insurance Co., Liberty Mutal and that we had "gap coverage" !!!!!!!!

Michael, first off, I am sorry to hear about your little one going through that. State minimum insurance does not cover much. Liberty mutual has some great programs & rates. They are one of many carriers we utilize to get great rates

Frank great advice.  I would equate shopping for the cheapest car insurance with shopping for the cheapest Doctor.  Neither one is a very good idea.

George, I completely Agree! I wouldn't want either one. I've seen too many people loose out after an auto accident because they didn't have enough coverage

Frank, this is something to think about. we don't have clients in the car, but when on business you can never be too over insured

Frank, This is a great topic with good information. We have good coverage with a good company but I was debating adding an umbrella policy. Carol #3 mentioned having a commercial policy so now I will look into that also.

Having the right coverage is very important. if you use your car for business and drive clients around. The extra coverage could help avoid any financial hardships later on
