www.chi-tn.com      Every now and then, we need a facelift. Having looked at my tired, frumpy, out-of-date I realized if I didn't like it, neither would my customers.
For those of you are into DYI, it was time to crash, bash and smash and do a total make-over.
     It all started with the domain. When I got the domain 6 years ago, I never liked it. I thought it was too long. More keystrokes, more prone to errors. This becomes even more crutial with mobile devices.
     Word Press v/s Conventional. I opted for WP as there are so many user friendly options. There is even a plug-in to make the site mobile friendly.
     Video v/s Static Text and Graphics. Currently, video is vogue and I do not see it going away anytime in the near future. Yes, good video is harder to generate. The search engine guru's know that. Maybe that is the reason that video is now being given precident over conventional methods.

Looks like a great makeover, Michael and love the videos.

However, I would strongly recommend you reconsider your domain name. It is NOT keyword rich which can really impede your results. also, if you have an aged domain of 6 yrs, I would not give that up. Instead, I would keep the old domain and redirect and if you want a shorter domain name like you have, add that and redirect. That way, you can have the best of both worlds.

also, minor formatting issue - at least on my screen. On upper left, roof algae is overlapping w/ phone number making it hard to read the phone #.

Michael, i agree with debbie on the keyword rich domain. Re-look it. I love your first page...i had noo problem loading on Chrome which i use. Which mobile friendly wp plug in are you using. I'm having trouble with android devices on my web site...IOS no problem. Appreciate the share.

It's easy for me to test this, as I have many domains and websites, so now I'm rethinking everything I've ever read about seo, current content, and links. It's all changed, and I'm adjusting to the change.

Wordpress is a challenge at first, but after a while, it starts to make sense.
