What Neighborhoods In Clayton Have Community Pools?

This is a great question as we approach the warmer weather and it won’t be long before the pools are gearing up for Summer. I was showing homes in Clayton yesterday to an out of town client who has two boys and having a pool in the neighborhood is a big deal to her.
There are plenty of pools you can join in Clayton but there is the hassle of loading up the car, unloading the car, going to the pool and then loading up the car and filling it with wet, sunscreen covered kids.

Pool at Portofino

So having a pool in a Clayton,NC neighborhood, especially one you can walk to is really important to a lot of families, summers are long and you have to have somewhere safe to send the kids. What kind of pool is important, saltwater, and what are the amenities, slide, lazy river, separate pool for the babies.? Shade! This is really important, especially if you’re like me and have kids with fair skin, are there umbrellas and places to get out of the sun some pools don’t have any.

Flowers Plantation has a great pool with a big slide, a paddling pool separate for the little ones, a mushroom waterfall, swimming lanes and the deepest part of the pool is five feet. There is a cafe that serves snacks and drinks, check for opening times. If you live in Pineville East or Pineville West your homeowners dues includes the pool, if you live outside the neighborhood you can join the pool at this time.

Riverwood Athletic Club has a big pool with a slide and a diving board, it has a separate shallow pool and a climbing structure with all kinds of waterfalls and sprays to keep everyone happy. There is an indoor pool and a very active swim club. You do not have to live in Riverwood to be a member of the pool and there are different levels of membership depending on what your interests are, i.e. golf. Members of Riverwood Athletic Club can also use the facilities at other Fred Smith Communities which include, Mingo Creek, Tralee and LionsGate in Clayton.

Portofino in Clayton has a saltwater beach entry pool with a beautiful cabana, changing rooms, outdoor shower. There is no lifeguard and you must be a resident to use the pool at Portofino.

Glen Laurel has a junior olympic size swimming pool, diving board, separately enclosed toddler pool. It is located next to the Neuse Golf Club where the snack bar is available. Glen Laurel Racquet and Swim Club is a private member club open to residents of the community, dues are separate from the HOA dues.

LionsGate in Clayton has a great pool with zero entry splash and fountain area a 300 foot lazy river and water slide and a lap pool. There is a separate toddler pool, cabana with showers and shaded area. LionsGate residents can also avail of the facilities at Riverwood Athletic Club, Mingo Creek and Tralee.

Tuscany on HWY 42 East has a community junior olympic pool, clubhouse, separate splash pool with the now famous mushroom fountain. There is a playground adjacent to the pool area. There are loungers and umbrellas and the HOA dues cover the use of the pool for residents of Tuscany in Clayton.

These are just some of the communities with pools in Clayton, for more information about the amenities offered in neighborhoods in Clayton, call or email me and I would be glad to help.
