Today’s Menu Monday comes from Las Palapas Taco Grill, located at 362 West 32nd Street Yuma, Az. Although Las Palapas has a total of three locations in Yuma; 32nd Street, The Foothills location & 16th Street, I highly recommend the 32nd Street location over the other two. Although I have never been to their Phoenix, Az. location, they have one located off of Thomas & 40th Street.

Las Palapas brings you the Baja Mexican Beach feel without leaving Yuma. They have a great variety of salsas from their salsa bar, Mexican bottled beer, tasty chips and some of the best refried beans for a fast food restaurant to pair up your meal.

My absolute favorite on their menu is the Ensenada Fish Taco platter. You get two fish tacos, which are made from Alaskan Pollock fish, skinny dipped in beer batter and hugged by a warm fresh tortilla and enriched with their special white sauce. You then get your choice of either refried beans and rice, or either. Each combo meal comes with tortilla chips that are light and crispy to enjoy with the fresh salsa.

Each fish taco is light, meaty and full of flavor. Then after I squeeze the lemon atop of the tacos and the special sauce, I add cabbage, roasted salsa and guacamole then I bite into my personalized fish taco and wash it down with a cold Dos XX beer. By the time I finish my Mexican Beach vacation, which is indulged with my first bite into a Las Palapas Fish Taco, I remember that I don’t  have to wait 2 ½ hours to cross back into the U.S.A, because the delights of Baja Mexico are as close as the Las Palapas on 32nd Street.

Until next time my friends. Enjoy the company your with, but best of all, enjoy a great meal!

Welcome Home Yuma!

Ruben, you are making me hungry.  Even though I live in Southern California, we sometimes take the drive over to Yuma for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel.  Worth the long lines.  But, maybe we will have to try this place next time.  The fish tacos sound yummy.

Hi Jean,

Thank you and Welcome to Yuma! There are some great restaurants here in Yuma, Az that don' thave the budget to market like some of the big boys in town. Cracker Barrel is good, and I have enjoyed some good breakfast and service their often. But the next time you come down to Yuma, I hope you and your friends and family enjoy some of the local establishments.

Thanks for your comment, I greatly apprecaite it! Enjoy your Presidents Day.
