I never understood why agents make it so hard to find them! As a former Realtor I don't get the mentality of agents that make it hard to find their contact information. It did not bother me so much when I was active, in fact I actually used it too my advantage. I would dare clients to find someone that could help with their issues, OK, maybe I wouldn't, but I knew that very few updated their info on the company roster. I always made sure that mine stood out from the rest.
Now that I am on the title side of things I come across both lenders and agents that are very difficult to find, and I still do not get it. If I am in the industry and I have your name and the company you work for and I still cant find your contact info, I might just move on, BUT I GUARANTEE A POTENTIAL CLIENT WILL MOVE ON!!.
I meet with lots of lenders and Real estate agents every day and I hear their stories, I know when they are looking to make a move and when they are looking for someone specific that I can connect them with. Today is a prime example, I met with a lender that recently moved to Colorado from New York, she was hoping to connect with a few agents in the Spanish markets of Denver, she is very well versed in programs that can really benefit this market. I knew a couple agents and passed along the information, but felt like I could really help her out and find a few more.
I googled Spanish speaking Denver Realtors and lo and behold a few names came up, I clicked them and sure enough there were their smiling faces, very friendly looking agents, the kind I would like to introduce to my new friend, alas, no email addresses, no phone numbers only a company address, Oh I suppose I could hop in my car and drive over there and see if they are in, I could easily call the company office number, Oh Wait it was not listed either. I suppose I could look it up, yeah, that's what I will do, or maybe I will just hit the back button and go down to the next agent, yep, that's much easier,
This is not a once in a blue moon situation, in fact it is more prevelant on the mortgage side than it is on the real estate side, and yet I consistently talk with lenders and realtors that are spending a fortune on marketing to get their names out there, I wonder how much business these people are missing out on, no way to tell, but I guarantee I am more persistant than the customer that happened upon the site.
My suggestion would be to look at everywhere you have a presence, even borrow someone else's computer and google keywords and if by some rare happenstance you do come up, see if you can find all of your important contact information. I'll be damned if I can do it!
