What a better way to get research than to ask real estate agents what they would want in a Website. Keeping it down to three features will really highlight the most important pretty quickly. Here are my entries:

  1. RESPONSIVE: This is a word that we hardly heard before last year, but now is all the rage. A responsive website will render a mobile search correctly. Since mobile website searches are growing dramatically, a real estate website needs to be able to show information in the best possible manner to mobile users.
  2. SECURITY: I know how many attempts there are to break into my website every day. I’ve added extra security, but do believe that any website provider should supply some level of security to prevent hackers from breaking into sites. Even a simple notification of failed login attempts would be useful.
  3. SPEED: “I feel the need...the need for speed.” I know I’m not the only one who has navigated away from websites that load slow. While I know that the content on any given page affects the speed greatly, the site architecture also has a lot to do with the speed load. A website that isn’t fast loading will get few return visitors.

Rich, Hack-proof would be a nice feature and speediness is necessary in our industry. Great list of Must-Have's!

Richard,

What a great list.  Websites need to be and do those three things for us to depend upon them.  I love the way you think....

Rich  You hit the big three.  My service provider is also a REALTOR so he built my site for speed.  My WP blog is pretty much a copy of it

I agree with all three you've identified.  The need for speed is important, and security . . . which is important as the hosting company seems to get hacked!

Rich - Speed and security are of utmost importance!     I could not agree more.    I am having a new website created, and those are two HUGE concerns!
