I've always loved Bob Hope.  I grew up watching the movies and the Christmas specials.  I've shared him with my kids who enjoy him too.  He did so much for our troops.

I always loved Bob Hope and too have watched him on TV since I was a little girl. I remember how he went to  VietNam during the war and made so many soldiers happy. Thanks for the memories!

William, Bob did a show at Annapolis in 1984 and the mids loved it!  Of course, didn't hurt that he brought along Brooke Shields and Bernadette Peters, and James Coburn was just Mr. Cool!

I remember seeing him walking on the street in Beverly Hills, as we were driving by.  He truly was loved by everyone, and he definitely contributed to our Armed Forces even when they were not praised as they are today, during the Viet Nam era.  A

Bob Hope will always be remembered for the wonderful holiday tours he made overseas to cheer up troops during wartime.  He is likely to be beloved for a very long time.

There wil never be another one like him.  I remember when his sidekick Bing Crosby died but Bob Hope kept going and going!  My Dad is now 95; another Bob Hope in the making.

William I always had high respect for Bob Hope, he always supported the Military even when it was not popular with his USO tours...I am not surprised that a Navy Town would commemorate him with a statue:)

I watched a lot of his movies as a kid. Good clean fun and laughs. Too bad entertainers today can only 'act' with shock and special effects.

That statue is just perfect for this terrific person who did so much to entertain so many...especially our troops.
