New Hope Borough is one of our Newtopias, a super village wedged between The Delaware River and The Delaware Raritan Canal. Who doesn’t enjoy a stroll through New Hope on a sunny day, so many things to see and do. It has to be one of the best places in Bucks County to people watch!
This area was originally settled by the Lenape Indians nearly ten thousand years ago and became New Hope when William Penn authorized the sale of land to Robert Heath in the early 1700s.
Known as an artsy enclave this naturally beautiful area has drawn artists since the early part of the 20th century and the vibrant Bucks County Play House came soon after (originally Broadway Summer Stock Theater) and still draws the crowds 70+ years later. New Hope has dozens of art galleries, craft shops and some award winning restaurants.
Homes styles vary from old stone colonials and clapboard row homes to ultra contemporary and brand new builds.
The Borough is the hub, surrounded by Solebury Township which offers a great variety of home styles and many more amenities, golf, library, swimming pool, supermarkets and lots more restaurants. This area is part of the award winning New Hope -Solebury School District.
