Woodland Management Service, one of the leading natural resource consulting firms in Wisconsin is looking for several professionals to join our team this year.
WMS is a forestry consulting company that specializes in overall management and appraisal of forestland properties throughout Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, and Eastern Minnesota.
We have an intensive training & development program and our land management professionals are continually challenged to become the best professionals in their field.
FORESTER
Responsible for the overall management of properties both large and small, development of new clients, forest inventory, forest appraisal, forest management plans, timber sale administration, planting, etc.
WILDLIFE SPECIALIST
Manage wildlife habitat on various client properties, also assist foresters with forest management. Successful candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills. And very good knowledge of wildlife habitat management, and silviculture of Wisconsin forests.
FORESTRY TECHNICIAN
Assist in the overall management of properties both large and small, development of new clients, forest inventory, forest appraisal, forest management plans, timber sale administration, planting, etc.
URBAN FORESTER
Supervise and conduct city forest inventories and plans, for small to medium cities throughout Wisconsin.
Summer positions also available
Skills desired (not all positions require all of these skills)
R Degree in Forestry, Wildlife, Soil, or Waters (applicants for technician position are not required to have degree or may have a degree in a related field).
R Certified Plan Writer certification.
R Very good knowledge of silviculture of Wisconsin trees.
R Good driving record.
R Excellent writing skills.
R Desire to challenge yourself to be the best everyday.
R Ability to quickly adapt to new projects and situations.
R GIS & GPS capabilities.
R Real Estate management and sales experience.
R Public speaking proficiency
R Ability to spend several nights per month traveling throughout the lake states.
