I met these two absolutely charming people at Ms. Vicki’s on the River one lovely evening when we were there to watch the sunset. I don’t know their names but they were having so much fun talking together as I walked by taking scenery photos that I had to stop and talk to them. I assumed, wrongly as it turns out, that they were a couple, either married or just good friends but that was not the case.

They had never met before but were laughing and having a fun while they enjoyed the water and sunset in front of them. I asked if I could take a picture of them and they laughed and said sure.

They made me realize that laughter can make instant friends. In fact I got to share it with them as they included me in on their fun.

Be sure to enjoy life; don’t pass up a lovely moment; or two friends sharing a fun moment in time. Laugh and share that laughter - even with a stranger.

That experience reminds me of a trip I made to Hawaii back in 1980. I went alone on an adventure to the Big Island. One night I couldn't sleep, so ended up in the Jacuzzi near the beach at my hotel at Kona. There was another gal there that I struck up a conversation with, and we laughed and laughed for an hour or so. Then the bombshell, she was from Citrus Heights, a mere 10 miles or so from my own home. The next day, I decided to sunbathe on the beach. I chose a place under the shade of a palm tree, and went sound asleep. I woke up 2 hours later. The shade had disappeared as the sun had hopped from tree to tree. I was so sunburned that I peeled 3 times. I looked like I had the Hawaiian Mange:-(

Your story reminds me of a couple I met many years ago. They were seniors on Harly Motorcycles and they looked like Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause to me. Both were smiling and having the time of their lives and I asked them if I could take their picture and they said sure.

I'll never forget them either.
