Very interesting analogy and lovely poem....I've had a few of those wash n wear relationships myself...they wear you out.

Jo... On the other hand, they can be kind of exciting :)

Ever hear of a sweater relationship? Lovers date when the weather gets cold and the sweater goes on and then break it off when the weather gets warmer and the sweater comes off. Your poem reminded me on the impermanence of such a connection.

Lenza... but then, that sweater is just as warm the next time I start to feel a little chilly. I fucking LOVE that sweater. Nothing else keeps me as warm.

(Plus, it looks darn cute on me!)

JMac... And here I am protesting each and every one of you! One part of your statement is correct, to be sure. Though each garment requires it's own setting. I wouldn't want to be dry cleaned!!

My Sandra... I was really wearing that t-shirt when I wrote it the other day :) I just took it off and tossed it on the scanner! Such a sweet thing for you to say!!

My Jennifer - come on now...you know it's true..... : ) ... know how you feel in regard to wash and wear, think every relationship has a few of those arguments....that never seem to die, and every once and awhile we drag them out to breath life back into them....You would think we would learn to just take them out into the backyard and bury them and be done with it.

Or to use your analogy...drop them off at the dry cleaners and forget to pick them up : )

Ah baby... the perfect song for sure! You spin me 'round so that I never quite catch my balance. So that all I can focus my eyes upon is you. And while the rest of the world is a complete blur, you are my sky - my eternal vista. And all that tumbling, well... let's just say that I'm one lucky girl ;-)

I became sick of wash and wear. I now opt for dry clean...when I have an issue I just drop it off then it is gone forever. Nice analogy.

Robin... I hear you on that, BUT... my all cotton loverboy is something I could never, ever get tired of! He fits me perfectly :)

Jennifer--Mine is an all cotton, too. The kind of one that last forever no matter how much wear and tear it takes.

Jennifer, I love this and probably because I think it is so true. Just redoing the same things ... again and again. love the t shirt as well. You selling them ;-)

Karen... It couldn't be more true in my relationship! I LOVE this shirt and wish I could find another. I'll wear it until it's in shreds....
