Breckenridge Peak 6 Expansion to Planned for 2013/2014 Ski Season

The Breckenridge Ski Resort is planning on having the Breckenridge Peak 6 expansion open for the 2013/2014 ski season.  This will be the first expansion for the Breckenridge Ski Resort since 2002 when they expanded to Peak 7.  Currently the Breckenridge Ski Resort has 2,358 skiable acres.  Breckenridge’s Peak 6 expansion will increase terrain by 23% by adding 543 skiable acres.  With Breckenridge being one of the two most visited ski areas in North America the Peak 6 expansion will be a great addition for skiers and snowboarders.

- 5 new bowls

- 10 new cut trails

- 13 runs above treeline

- 2 new chair lifts

- Warming hut with restroom facilities and ski patrol

Hi Krystal - That's great news. It's so hard to get these expansions approved anymore, but this one will really make a huge improvement to an already great ski area. I'm excited to try it out.
