Uh Oh....Is That Oil Spot From MY Car?? Free Vehicle Check Coming Up!

By

Rainy day in Olympia

If you've noticed suspicious looking spots under YOUR car, you will soon be able to get a FREE check for vehicle leaks if you live in the Puget Sound area! Participating Washington Automotive Service Association repair shops will inspect the undercarriage of your car - for free - during this event.

And if you do have a leaky vehicle, you can also get a 10% discount on the repair (up to $50.00). These free leak checks will be offered during April, 2013 & the info about participating repair shops will be available early in March.

This outreach program called Don't Drip & Drive is available due to grant funding from Department of Ecology, and is being organized by local storm water utilities in Puget Sound.

What a cool way to get your vehicle checked out to make sure it's not contributing to those oily sheens - colorful, yes, but NOT good for the health of Puget Sound!

That is always a very scary situation when you back out of a space and see an oil sheen or a anti freeze mark. Love the word free (sometimes)

I know it Paul! If I see one of those spots, I'm always frantically trying to recall if it might have been there when I pulled into the parking place - I really don't want to discover it's from MY car!
