I’ll Bet You Can’t Eat Just One!

https://www.activerain.com/blogs/myrljeffcoat

My 12-year old granddaughter, Macie, was up early this morning.  She was doing what Girl Scouts do this time of year – Pushing cookies!

The Good Day Sacramento Show on CBS Local Channel 31 hosted a “Girl Scout Cookie Show Down” on their program this morning, to help promote cookie sales.

Macie is the little gal with the ponytail and microphone pictured above.

If you live near the BelAir Market in Gold River, I’d like to encourage you to visit Girl Scout Troop 1445 at their cookie sale stand either next Friday, March 1st from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm or Saturday, March 2nd from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

BelAir Market in Gold River is located along Sunrise Boulevard (near the American River) at 2155 Golden Center Lane.

Should you run out of cookies shortly after purchasing them, the girls have an additional cookie stand setup calendared for Raley’s on Madison Avenue @ Hazel in Fair Oaks, on Wednesday March 6th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  We wouldn’t want you to run out!

Tell the girls that Macie’s Nana sent you!

Myrl I can see the resemblance between you and Macie.

Those cookies are really addictive and the girls look ready to go.

Myrl,

What girls!

Macie is so cute and I have a feeling she's a real trooper and takes scouting seriously. Selling cookies is a BIG deal and it helps the girls out. Plus cookies are great to freeze or better yet to send overseas to our soldiers still deployed.

Everyone should buy at least a dozen boxes of cookies. Good luck to Macie on her sales. Also, I think it's awesome that she was the one holding the microphone! Obviously, she's not shy and definitely a spokesperson for Girl Scout Cookies!

I love it! Good job Grandma!

Myrl, you got that right! My favorites are the chocolate mint cookies. They don't last very long in our house.

Alexandra - I sat with Macie's troop a few years ago when they sold outside a local Raley's.  I was amazed at how much support the girls and those cookies get:-)

Donna - I pre-ordered my cookies too.  And then I found I needed to order an additional box last night to have enough to qualify for a drawing:-)

Sonja - Yes, homes are absolutely going as fast as Girl Scout cookies. . .Yea for that.  We just need more!

William - I have a hard and fast rule about those cookies.  When I procure my boxes, I put one on the table for immediately eating.  And, just as swiftly the other boxes go into the freezer.  I am committed to not eating them all at once.  Usually around midnight of the first day, I find my fingers getting frozen as I raid the freezer. . .LOL

Patricia K. - I'm laughing at your statement that those cookies are as addictive as crack!  Yes, they are!  Now, I don't know that from personal experience however, but I've heard. . .:-)

Tom - I am convinced that in many of those Girl Scouts beats the heart of a future real estate agent:-)

Richard - Yay for your once being a Boy Scout!  My grandson, Ryan, just made Eagle Scout this last summer.

Jennifer - The girls always seem to be on a mission when they are pushing the cookies!  The general population doesn't have a prayer against them:-)

Patricia F. - Yes, the cookies freeze exceptionally well.  And, you can always ship them overseas to our troops!

Silvia - I'm really fond of the Thin Mints, but the Lemonades are a close second.

Janna - I am certain your days without an encounter with a green clothed girl is numbered:-)

Toni - I'm convinced it is un-American to not love Girl Scout cookies. . .LOL

Yolanda - I'm suspect a lot of real estate agents sold Girl Scout cookies at some point in their lives.  I was a Camp Fire Girl, and vividly remember selling mints each year to earn a trip to camp!

I buy Girl Scout cookies from every little girl in the neighborhood who asks. Our freezer is full of cookies already, and they haven't all been delivered yet!

Your granddaughter is simply cuter than the dickens, Myrl. Wish I were traveling in that direction this weekend but I'm heading down to the Imax to watch the show about coral reefs. Much less fattening.

Hi Myrl, I' bet she scored big this year selling cookies! Who could resist a TV star. I always buy something to show support and success with a sale after their presentation. Nice post Myrl.

Macie is one lucky Girl Scout having grandma help her with her marketing efforts, although by the looks of it she doesn't need much help.
