The 'Angel Lady' of Long Island--This is why I do what I do by Feng Shui Long Island

If you lived on Long Island many years ago, it's more then likely you'll know who the ‘Angel Lady' of Long Island is.  If not, here's a link to part one of her story as told by Newsday  Halo My Dear Angel

In brief, Fran Lenzo was your average Long Island lady with a pretty home in the lovely town of Huntington and remarried to a wonderful man named Jerry.  They lived, they worked and they played just as any happy couple would.  Until the day Fran found a lump in her breast.  And heard the words malignant, chemotherapy and masectomy...too late, I'm afraid.  She and Jerry handled it with grace and charm and Newsday ran a lenthy story about them and what they were going through called "We're in this together."  Of course you're wondering what it had to do with me.

I didn't know when I read that front page story how much it would affect me...and I never dreamed I've have the opportunity of meeting this very special person one day. A follow up story revealed that Fran's cancer had spread and there was nothing that could be done for her.  Her doctors told her to get her papers in order.  Fran was seeking a way to find out how to die the same way she lived and underwent many spiritual changes, one of them being hypnosis.  An Angel came to her during this time and gave her the message that she would not die; her journey was just beginning.

And she healed.  By all accounts and from every doctor it was called a miracle.  Fran began to hear her Angels speak to her often and is the Author of several books including "Halo, My Dear Angel." 

I came home from a long day at work one day to a mysterious message left on my machine.  My ex told me to call this woman and just tell her you want to order her book.  I had no idea who or what he was talking about but a few days later called out of curiosity.  She had no idea who I was but began to tell me she'd been written about in Newsday five years before-and I remembered the story.  Her book, she told me was about how the Angels came through and spoke to her.

We spoke for a while and she asked me what I did.  At the time I was just about to graduate from my Feng Shui Studies.  "I'll know who to call" she said "if I ever feel I need Feng Shui."  Little did I realize that she would call---and sooner then I ever would have expected.  About six months later I received a call from Fran asking for a Consultation.  I had not really begun my business yet because I didn't feel qualified in spite of all the schooling and intensive weekends.  This was to be my very first Feng Shui Consultation and Fran knew I was nervous.

She was selling her house at the time; well, trying to sell it.  It had been on the market but no offers.  I went and made suggestions and did the blessings-and the house sold.  Fran insisted I come back one day for a free Angel reading; the messages came THROUGH her, she said, not FROM her.  She told me my Angels name was Loretta, some things about my children and she told me that fear was holding me back from what I should be doing.  I had many people to help in this life and I was good enough at what I did to live my dream. 

THAT was my defining moment.  Words from an Angel through an Angel in human form that encouraged me to follow my passion and stick to it.  I am still doing what I love and the joy I get is immeasurable when the phone rings and a clients says "You'll never BELIEVE what happened."  I do believe it and am as thrilled as they are.

Fran and Jerry moved to Arizona where she started a group called "Women of the Desert" and went on to write more books.  It is unclear whether the cancer returned after over 20 year or she developed a new cancer but she wrote to all of us on Long Island who loved her.  Her last message was just over a year ago:  "I hope to write to you to be able to give you an update but if I don't, you'll know why"!  I Bless this wonderful woman and her Angels for giving me my defining "moment."
