The WISH List when it comes to Buying a Home

I always ask my buyer s for a wish list..it sure helps to have buyers define their goals in writing!!

I think it is important for buyers in Denver and beyond to be realistic. It may be that their wants are not in their price point.

Joan, buyers always have a wish list and sometimes it continues to GROW!  :)

Nice blog Joan!  It's always helpful to encourage a client to think of those categories.  Oftentimes they don't think of the energy efficiency piece, their monthly maintenance in the home.  Great suggestion!

Hi Joan, I can tell you what most of our buyers have on their "wish list" and that's Hardwood Floors!

That's a great list of considerations for today's homebuyer.  Another item for the list might be how wired it is for today's technology.

I always try to show my buyers the different between wants and needs.

Joan it is so important for buyers to identify their needs before house hunting.  Both needs and wants and in priority will make house hunting go well.

It would be nice if we didn't have to pull, pry and beg for a buyer to tell us their wish list. If you won't tell what you really want, how am I supposed to find it?

I want a price 50% under market in a tip top home with all the upgrades including a pool and spa and on the golf course with a mountain view

Wish lists change once buyers go out and kick a few tires.  I've had so many clients tell me they want a single level, and after we have exhausted that market and they found nothing that suited them, they buy a two-level, with all their other wishes ;-)

Joan - I have clients make their wish list of must haves and can't live from the beginning so we can focus and figure out what's most important.
