Help An Old Lady. I can’t read your Menu Bars.
When I come up on a blog with no contrast on the menu bar I am blindly trying to click to find my way around. Help out an old lady by setting your menu bar to have some contrast so I and others can read it. Otherwise it is one solid ribbon and it is a guessing game.
When I come across these solid ribbons I wonder if the blogger is aware of this or if it intentional. If you are not aware then FIX IT NOW PLEASE. If you are aware and continue to NOT fix it please explain your reason behind it. If you think it makes me stay longer on your page, you are wrong. I want to leave faster and it makes me hesitant to want to visit the next time. Think of it as rolling out the red carpet to your guest and making their visit a more pleasurable experience.
Help out an old lady and change your menu bar to have some contrast. Just follow the easy steps below.
When going to a Blog Post without the Menu Bar set up in Contrast, it looks like one solid color and no categories show up. It is very frustrating to the rest of us.
When the Menu Bar is set up with contrast, it is easy to read and to navigate.
To add contrast to the Menu Bar or change the color then just go to the left side menu on the Home Page. Click on Blog and AR Blog (Customized) will drop down. Click on Customized and the page editor will appear to make the changes for your blog page.
This is where you can load a nice Header, change the background color or add a photo for a wallpaper background and select the color for the Menu Background and the Menu Text Color.
It is the Menu Background and Menu Text colors that need contrast. Just set them with some contrast between the two colors and it should look fine. Then the Text will show up.
It is easy to make the menu bar stand out and it will help all of us navigating through the Rain.
There is also a video tutorial in the University that helps with the steps. Your ActiveRain Menu Bar will look better and the rest of us really appreciate it so much.
Come on Help Out an Old Lady.
