World Compliment Day is March 1- Let’s Really Celebrate This Day!

World Compliment Day is celebrated March 1 but it’s one of those special World Compliment Daydays that you’re going to wish was celebrated and practiced every day.

National Compliment Day began in the Netherlands more than 10 years ago by its initiator and the driving force behind this day, Hans Poortvliet.  Since 2011, the organizers thought why not make it a World Compliment Day!
 

I want you to take a moment and think about the last time someone gave you a compliment.......... I’ll wait.  Admit it... didn’t you smile and have a bit of spring in your step after that.
 

World Compliment Day is about taking the time to pay someone a compliment..... and no..... it’s not about saying

“Nice dress”

or

“Your hair looks good.”
 

givingThink of the one thing this person does that stands out to you....... and tell them.  Let them know you appreciate what they do, or their efforts at something.   

 


World Compliment Day is not about calling the florist or rushing to Amazon to click and send them an Amazon Gift Card.  In fact this day will cost you nothing but a few minutes of your time.  



 

Please make a commitment that on March 1, you’ll find at least 1 person... or better yet,  set a goal for more.... and make their day.....
 

Give Them a Gift that

Cannot be purchased, and

Is Never Tossed Aside....

A True Compliment.

Wayne- I think we could all use a nice compliment from time to time.

Bobbie- absolutely.  We all do get busy and while we may think it, we could express it more.

Gary- Thank you, Gary!  However, I have a feeling that you’re not one to be stingy with your compliments!  

Sharon- Isn’t it nice that there’s nothing to buy with this special day.

Sheila- never too early or too often.  And... always appreciated.

Sharon- can you see my smile?   Thank you very much for your kind words.

Tish- I’ve been late in welcoming you  back to AR!  Have a great day.

Dorie- it’s interesting how just one little comment can put a smile on someone’s face.

BarbaraT- I hope you know that those compliments are truly sincere.  

Tom- it’s a no hassle day.... no cards, candy, flowers or gifts necessary.

BARFF- you do it without even thinking!

Kristin- you can definitely dish out as many as you want.

Joanna- omg... you’ll be in the perfect place for it.

Beth- I love the idea of it.  It takes so little to give someone a sincere compliment.  

John- and thank you!  You are always such a positive force here. 

Donna- I'm glad you'll be participating.

Jerry- I think it's a great idea.  Even giving a compliment to the person you see in the drive through window when you get coffee is a start. 

Toni- I was thinking about how catty we all can get about things.  It's so much easier to pay someone a compliment. 

Alexandra-you and Ron sound a lot like my Larry and me.  Have a great day!

Scott- it's amazing what a little compliment can do. 

Margaret-I think if we can make it a personal challenge to find something in a person that you can compliment then it can become a daily habit.

Hi Kathy.  I love these special days you find for us!  Giving out compliments doesn't cost anything and it's certain to lighten the load of the folks around you.  Nobody ever complained about being over-complimented!

I am currently doing a blogging series to help promote one of our newest offices and because of the intensive fashion I have joined this battle, I got contacted personally from our Owner and CEO this week

I thought I was on a high I could not come down from when today my broker and others at a party were all talking about the fact that now I am known by the highest in our company. 

This is just a week filled with compliments that i cant stop hearing and for a guy that normally could care less about rewards and recognition, I must say when the CEO of your whole company of 80,000 agents calls you to say what a great thing you are doing for others, it makes you very proud.
