Atlanta GA Needs UTEC PERU Technology Drinking Water from a BILLBOARD
Atlanta GA and Water from a BILLBOARD
UTEC/PERU Technology offers Fresh Drinking Water from the Air
Seeing is believing. Well, even after seeing this new technology,
there is nothing to say but, “Where there is a will - there is a way.”
Engineering students at UTEC provided a design for extracting water from the air in Lima, Peru. They designed a multiple filtration system that produces pure drinking WATER FROM A BILLBOARD. In the developing world, the need for water is constant. To live, to thrive and to become self-sustaining - pure water is essential.
Yet the same could be said here in Atlanta, GA when we would enjoy WATER FROM A BILLBOARD during our long hot summer days. Often over 100 degrees and almost as humid, the summer may drag on without much rain. The City of Atlanta institutes water-rationing when the reservoirs get low.
Maybe we could use WATER FROM A BILLBOARD for our homes and gardens in Atlanta GA too? No more alternate day watering in that case!
Have a happy day -
Lynn
PS Even the campus is a glimpse into the future. Resulting from a design competition in 2011, a stunning building now houses UTEC students as they advance in their careers.
UTEC > Ingenuity in Action
"UTEC is an engineering college [that offers] training based on experience, allowing youth to channel and to enhance their ingenuity [and] to develop practical solutions that improve the environment in which we live."
