Allan Dalton named President of Homesinyourtown.com

Larry Vecchio, Founder and CEO of HomesInYourTown.com, names Allan Dalton President of HomesInYourTown.com...Dalton to oversee Merchandising, Marketing.

HAZLET, NJ (PRWEB) February 25, 2013

Larry Vecchio, Founder and CEO of HomesInYourTown.com, announced that Allan Dalton has been named President of HomesInYourTown.com. Dalton will oversee North American Operations including Merchandising, Marketing and Distribution of Homes In Your Town’s...Town specific URLs and customized Websites.

HomesInYourTown.com websites and URLs will be made available beginning late in the first quarter of 2013 on a completely exclusive town/city basis... to select and civic minded Real Estate professionals, Real Estate teams...and a limited number of Real Estate brokerages. Dalton, a highly respected and celebrated Leader in both the Real Estate and Web-based Industries, formerly served as President of Move Inc. Real Estate Division, was CEO of Realtor.com and was named by the National Association of Realtor’s magazine as “One of the Industries 25 Most Influential Thought Leaders”.

“Allan has earned the respect of the Real Estate Industry for his integrity, drive, communication, creativity and his sustained success in leading numerous media and marketing related ventures,” Vecchio declared.

“What excites me most about joining Homes In Your Town is Larry Vecchio’s unwavering commitment to provide consumer relevant real estate and community specific content to consumers. I am also excited because true real estate professionals have long placed the needs of consumers and the communities they serve at the forefront. Regrettably their tireless work and value is not always either understood or appreciated. HomesInYourTown.com will bring into sharper focus the considerable value that Real Estate Town Advocates represent and will lead to their gaining the greater respect, which they richly deserve,” Dalton exclaimed.

Vecchio added, “Presently, regarding Zip Codes, Real Estate agents can only market to zip codes...but cannot market on behalf of Zip Codes....therefore their value is stalled...HomesInYourTown.com will now offer Community-Centric and web and marketing savvy Real Estate professionals an opportunity to better market into Towns...by better marketing towns themselves...which will also include their necessary and appropriate insertion. Town Marketing must become a significant part of the overall Real Estate marketing mix, especially since all agents through IDX can now market all property listing on their sites and through search engines, thus blunting their quest for differentiation.

Real Estate professionals, since they are not representing the US Postal Service, but rather presenting the virtues of towns...need to become less Zip code-centric and more Town marketing-centric. By Marketing for the town...they are now more able to Market...to the town.

HomesInYourTown.com believes that essentially no value accrues to the Real Estate professional in the eyes of the consumer...especially local homeowners and homes sellers, unless the emphasis is on specifically named towns and communities. In simple terms, consumers, in our view, are more likely to visit a website that focuses upon issues relating to their town...versus their zip code....and for that reason Real Estate Professionals want to also be included in this higher form of geo-targeted relevance if they truly seek to build a bigger, better and busier business.

“A great example of this,” Vecchio added, “is how our Neighbors Know Best and Children Know Best (features on the HomesInYourTown.com websites) will drive consumer-generated content by encouraging both adult and child residents of towns alike to post reviews of what they believe best represent the virtues and allure of the town(s) they call home...to prospective buyers and therefore future residents. Town residents intuitively grasp how this serves their home values interests...and expectantly will think more favorably of the exclusive HomesInYourTown.com Real Estate Town Advocate...who also display that they grasp the relevance of town marketing.”
