Mac or PC for Real Estate?

By
Real Estate Agent with California Lifestyle Realty DRE# 1780607

mac or pc

I am a proud new owner of a MacBook Pro and am transitioning from a PC.  Hopefully the learning curve will not be too steep while learning all the ins and outs of the Mac.  I already have the iPod, iPad, and iPhone... so now it will be good to have a computer that can talk to all of my devices.

Which do you think is better for real estate... Mac or PC?  Do you have problems with any of your real estate applications on the Mac?

I know some agent swear by the Mac.  I'm on PC gal, and will be.  My son is a Mac user and he would applaud your decision!!  ;-)

I have never used a MAC and only know the negatives from which others talk about.... so I have perception that it is hard to work other software. Since I am not a techie and have problems on a regular PC and other software I am really leery of going to purchase a MAC.

Kathy - Congratulations on getting a new computer.  Regardless of whether it is a mac, or a pc, you'll love the technology that comes with a new computer!  Have fun!

Mac all the way. I have all Apple devices. It is actually easier to use than a PC. it just takes a little while to learn the ins and outs.

Kathy - Many are making that switch, I wish you the best. Keep us PCers in the loop, so we can plan our next purchase.  :)

Well.... so far, I love all my other Apple products.  And I have never "loved" my PC.

Kathy,

I love my new gigantic screen iMac.  It is so wonderful, I can have several screens open and go from one thing to another, and several desktops too.  Like you my PC was just a tool that I tolerated.  Ron also has the airmac book for travel, and it is so light, unlike the my laptop that was so heavy...Avid Apple fanS both of us.  Looking forward to seeing you. Hello Kathy,

Congrats on your courage  as  well  as your desire to share with those of us who think about taking the plunge but are unwilling to ride the learning curve.

Can you update us, how has it been?

Inspired,

Lisa

Lisa,

I am still really happy with my Mac!  Every once in awhile I'll come across a program that needs a tweek to work, but so many other things are much better with the Mac!  K
