A skiing addict going through withdrawls

I grew up in the Pocono's and worked at Camelback while in College, 1986-.  The pay wasn't good but I got to ski for free, which is why I took the job.  Every winter since then, to not get the doldrums of being inside all the time, I looked forward to skiing as much as possible.  I taught my daughters to ski, starting at age 3.  By age 5 they were solid blue square skiers.  The past few years, I find myself havingto go out west or to Canada to get reliable snow and good conditions.  It's getting to be too expensive and too much trouble to fly everyone out there.   When you plan a trip to Whiteface or Vt, it has to be in advance of course, and before you get there there's a huge rainstorm or heat wave and you've just wasted your time and money going there.  Plus, I must say I have either outgrown Killington or the business owners there are out to empty every dollar out of your wallet and make you wish you didn't go.

Some people love to golf,  I tried it, too slow and safe.  I'd rather be skiing the bumps or the glades.  Imagine if the golf courses all dried up...  The skiing season just keeps getting shorter and shorter, so now its faded to me as an interest.  To the old days. xo

think snow!
