Why Do You Keep Calling Me???

I have a listing. An agent called to show it to her "client".

The next day I received a call through the office that said her client had questions about the listing. I suggested that he call his agent since I really wasn't supposed to deal with him directly.

The next day he called me again. I politely answered a couple of pretty silly questions, but again suggested that he call his agent. I further explained the Code of Ethics, and the implications. I further suggested that if his agent was to represent him, she should possibly consider doing a little work for her money, and that it would be in his best interest to have her tuned into whatever concerns he may have.

The next day he calls me about another listing I'm working on, but don't have the paperwork completed. I again explained he should really deal with his agent, that the listing was not complete, and that it was not ready to show yet.

Yesterday I got a call from the agent wanting to show it to her "client".

I'm as confused by the agent's actions as the "client"! Make your client call you if you expect to get money!

And for consumers, hire one agent to represent you, and have him do your work. It's usually best to keep your mouth shut (if you can) around agents who represent the other party!
