Bureau of Real Estate commissioner Wayne Bell appointed by governor

New BRE commissioner appointed
 
The Governor of California Jerry Brown has appointed a new real estate commissioner.  His name is Mr. Wayne Bell.
 
 
Welcome to the post Mr. Bell.
 
Here is a brief overview of what we were able to learn about BRE real estate Commissioner Bell:
 
-worked in various positions at Ralphs Grocery Store
 
- was a deputy secretary and general counsel at the California Business, Transportation and Housing Agency
 
- was a special counsel and director of home ownership at the California Housing Finance Agency
 
- was a chief counsel and assistant commissioner for legal policy and recovery at the DRE
 
- he graduated from UCLA in 1976
 
- earned juris doctorate degree from Loyola Law School
 
As some of you may or may not know, the California Department of Real Estate is changing its name on July 1, 2013.
 
The DRE will now become the BRE (so I guess I am now a BRE lawyer instead of a DRE defense lawyer) - which stands for the "Bureau of Real Estate."
 
The BRE will come under the umbrella of the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
 
One DRE I spoke with mentioned that there should not be any major fundamental changes in how things operate, but time will tell.
 
We look forward to seeing some great things and welcome Mr. Bell to the position of head real estate guy in California!

I need help.  I have applied for my real estate renewel on April 3, 2013 and sent my check of $300. which was cashed on 04-26-2013.  I have called many times to DRE 877.373.4542.  Waited 45 mins each time. With no help until I spoke with Ms. Sharp on June 14, 2013.  She told me at that time the CE verication no. were not correct.  She helped me get it corrected along with the school.  Ms. Sharp said I should be getting updated soon.At that time she sid she had received my payment. I got another letter on June 26, 2013 asking for infomation that I had fed ex to Ms. Sharp on June 14, 2013.

I called the 1 877 373 4542, waited 45 mins and got a rule customer service person who said they did not have my file and could not help me.  So I asked for a supervisor and he did not know how to transfer me.  I asked for the phone number of his superviser and said he could not give it to me.  So he hang up on me. and another day goes by without my extension of my Real estate license since April 3, 2013 and my expiration date is June 09, 2013

 

I do not understand what is holding up my renewal date at this time. 

I have my copy of my cancelled.  What else needs to be done.

Mr Bell, Trying to reach you as I being a REal Estate Broker value that certificate very dearly

I have mailed on 8/2/13 my 45 hrs and should have gotten to Sacramento shortly thereafter.

On friday seeing nothing posted about my Brokers license approved extension to 8/18/13

I faxed to 2 different numbers available and asked in cover sheet to contact me...NOTHING>>>Does anyone work up there in Sacramento?  It is not the 19th and my license is not posted

I also have agent with similar problem..You contact the license number and go thru everything and then cannot help, cannot even find my license...What good is it to call?

I need someone to call me and get this straighten out...on BRE My license has expired as of 8/18/13
