I am looking for a new car, my current one a Nissan Maxima was on life support after a accident but on Friday last the insurance adjuster pronounced it Dead.

I am working in the REO market, so i carry some items that "Normal" Realtors would not, 24 volt cordless drill, replacement locks, hedge trimmers, Hose and so on.

What would you recommend, Ive seen some nice looking Crossover Vehicles but I done know, I would love to hear your suggestions.

Anything with all wheel or 4 wheel drive and a hatch works from a wagon to a pick up truck.  I have used a Volvo V70 and Ford F150 and now a Ford Edge, they all do just fine

Andrew - I like my Dodge Durango.  It's got plenty of room for all my signs, lockboxes, tool buckets, etc. and has extra power outlets to plug in a 12 volt fridge.  And still have room for clients.  It's not the absolute best on gas, but I have had worse for sure.  On the highway at 70 mph I can get 18mpg with the AC running.  For a big SUV that's not really bad IMO.  I would guess that your needs would include lots of space to haul around many tools for those 'just in case' moments.

Probably a small SUV like a CRV that is light on gas.  I have an Explorer and I do love the mileage I get BUT it could be better.  Currently looking at CRV's myself!

Andrew-  It must be your lucky day.  I currently have too many vehicles and need to sell one, if you would like to make an offer on my 89 GMC p-up, it could handle all of your hauling needs. It is a one owner vehicle which I bought back in 1989 and has about 145K miles on it.  Talk about being tough, it has lived through two wrecks but still drives fine, well mostly.  If you would like to make an offer we can talk about it over coffee sometime.  You know the number.

I drive an Isuzu Rodeo. It isn't the newest or prettiest, but it is still in good shape, is one of the few smaller SUVs that actually has leg room in the back seat, and isn't too bad on gas. When this one gives out I will probably buy a Jeep.

I drive an SUV because we live in a somewhat rural area, so we frequently drive thru ice, snow, mud, flooded ditches, heavily washed out driveways. I would LOVE a nice sedan, but I just couldn't go where I need to go in it.

My Ford Explorer (2002, with 106,000 miles) does the job for me.

I just bought a Chrysler Pacifica and all I can say is WOW!  I was looking for a smaller SUV.  I wanted something that looked nice, outside and INSIDE.  Many of the American made smaller SUV's look great on the outside but are lacking amenities on the inside (most actually look very cheap inside).  My salesman talked me into test driving the Pacifica.  It is a crossover - kind of looks like the Lexus crossover.  I love the way it handles the road.  It has tons of leg room in the back (important for taller clients).  Mine has a third seat that folds flat.  Lots of cargo space when third seat is down - more than enough for signs to lay flat.  Gas mileage is similar to a mini-van.  The interior is fabulous for the price of the car.  And it gets 5 star safety ratings on everything except rollover (which I believe is a very respectable 4 - high for an SUV type).

I love mine.  Check it out!

Be honest, I love my 2000 Mercedes C.  MPG is 22, it drives like a dream, you can fit a sign in the trunk and 4 adults comfortably.

A new one is about $35,000 and you can get a good one 2 years old for the low $20's.  You could probably get one like mine right now for $10,000.

Don't let them fool you.  It drives just fine on regular unleaded.

Best part is you look like a stone cold pimp rollin up on the REO's.

Did you like the Maxima?  Maybe but another. I had a Maxima for many years and loved it.  Good gas mileage.  Stylish looks.  Great trunk space and roomy front and back seats.  Do you need a SUV or crossover in your area?

I love my Mercedes sedan.  It's ten years old but looks great.  I got it used in Los Angeles because the Mercedes market in San Diego is much pricier.  And I found it online at a dealer. I have to say that I love my car and it holds all my signs, flags, tool kit and everything I need for BPO and REO and regular work in my huge trunk. It's premium gas, about 23 MPG.  I dream of a brand new one this year, but think I would also try a "new" used one again.  It's the only part of my business and life that is not "green" and I hope Mercedes catches up with Prius one of these days (we have one of those too and it's fabulous).

I love my Nissan Murano.  Very high safety rating, comfortable ride and great visibility- even for the vertically challenged like me!  Plenty of room for signs and "stuff", too!

Have to say I Love my Nissan Armada and G35 Infiniti.  Great gas mileage with the Infiniti, not so good with the Armada, but the convience of an suv is great.
