Slowly but surely, the Levittown Shopping Center is being rebuilt, and yes,
a WalMart Supercenter is being put there. In Levittown, PA construction has
already started for the mega-mart, and the tentative date for the opening will
be sometime in April 2009.
The WalMart in Fairless Hills, PA is going to be shut down and this will be
it's replacement. Among WalMart, other nationally well known companies will
share the grounds of the old Levittown PA Shopping Center. Home Depot, Wachovia
Bank, and Taco Bell are currently operating. A few other names joining big "W"
are Deb, Dressbarn, Ross, and Famous Footwear.
Although the WalMart in Fairless Hills, PA will be closed down permanently,
the WalMart in Bristol, PA at the intersection of Rt 13 & RT 413, will remain
operating.
Below is a photo of what the Levittown Shopping Center used to look like. It's
too bad, because it was a nice place some time ago.
