Buyers Prefer Undivided Loyalty From Real Estate Licensees

It has been my experience that the majority of today's real estate buyers, when informed of their right to full representation from a real estate licensee, choose the undivided loyalty of single agency over the limitations of double agency service. Undivided loyalty from a real estate licensee means single agency service and full representation.

Consumers have a right to undivided loyalty in a real estate transaction.

Of course consumers also have the right to choose to remain as just customers, declining any offer of agency service from a real estate licensee. Consumers cannot be forced into an agency relationship with a real estate licensee.

Your philosophy is a sound one, the issue is that here in our local market, the buyer feels that they can get a better deal if they work with the listing agent. Also, many local agents, offer incentives to the seller, if they bring in the buyer.

Valerie - yes, single agency representation and undivided loyalty are of most benefit to the consumer when compared to no representation (customer) or the limitations and pitfalls of double representation. I do not enter into any double agency representation.
