Job Relocation – How an Orange County Short Sale Can Help You

If you are considering job relocation, there is a good chance that you will pass on the opportunity if your home is worth less than what you owe on it. There is no reason to put your career on hold when you can qualify for a short sale of your home which would enable you to make a move to advance your career. If you are currently unemployed or underemployed and having challenges with your mortgage, a job relocation may be a “qualifying hardship” that your lender will accept in support of a short sale of your home.

If you find yourself in this situation I will represent you and work with your lender to negotiate the short sale of your home. This will include selling your home at a price acceptable to your lender and handling all aspects of the sale. By removing this burden, you will be free to focus on your new job and relocation and not worry about the financial strain of paying for two homes, or worse yet – a missed career move.

Dave, Good point. Many sellers don't realize that a job transfer is most likely grounds for hardship and reason for a short sale. Thanks for bringing it up.

That's smart of you to bring this up, David. Because the train with the "I don't wanna pay for an underwater home" short sale sellers has left the station. Most of the short sales I am doing now in Sacramento are probates or relos, and you're right, I should be targeting those opportunities.
