We like to say in Charlotte that Charlotte's Got A Lot! And it does! The Studio Movie Grill just opened in Charlotte's Epicentre in City Center. The concept behind the Studio Movie Grill is a 30,000 square foot combined restaurant, night spot, and movie theatre focused on being "chef-driven" as the owners like to say.
What's special about the Studio Movie Grill? First of all, you can reserve extra large seats. Secondly, you can have food and drink served tableside in the theatre. The Studio Movie Grill menu includes crab cakes, kale and avocado salads, and coconut chicken tenders. Plus there's a solid drinks and wine list available. And prices are very reasonable--about $10 for an evening movie ticket.
Studio Movie Grill is actually Charlotte’s second new movie-dinner concept to open since summer of 2012. Cinnebar opened in south Charlotte's Arboretum Shopping Plaza.
If you're a movie nut or just someone who likes to catch the occasional show, this movie-dinner concept is a wonderful addition to Charlotte's social life. With the Studio Movie Grill and Cinnebar openings in Charlotte, we can keep saying Charlotte's Got A Lot! (Hope to run into you at the movies soon!)
