Celebrate the start of spring with a wine pairing dinner inspired by the flavors of Argentina

March 21 - 7 p.m.

Argentinian people are often characterized by their love of eating and showing their love for others through food. A typical Argentinian asado brings friends, families and community members together to prepare and enjoy the national dish - barbeque.

Of course, the love of food and wine go hand in hand. Argentina's wine industry is the fifth largest producer of wine in the world and cultivates varietals and grapes that represent the country's many immigrant groups. Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon have been gaining popularity in the country due to their versatility and international demand. Syrah planting has also increased sharply with the San Juan region earning particular recognition Torrontes is a typically Argentine grape and is considered one of the most distinctive whites the country produces. Malbec is the most planted grape and has achieved more notoriety in Argentina than in its native France.

At The Copper Door's March wine pairing dinner, Chef Dennis will present some of the country's favorite flavors and dishes paired with Sommelier Nick Demos's selections of native wine. We hope you'll come celebrate food, wine and friendship with The Copper Door's asado adaptation.
