In the San Francisco Bay Area, blood donations do not keep up with the need for blood needed for medical procedures. We are importers of blood.
Across the nation, winter storms and worse – Super Storm Sandy – have created obstacles for those who would donate and for those who are running blood drives.
For those of you who can, I urge you to donate. It is a simple and quick procedure. What else is there that you can do that can so easily provide life saving help to a victim of accident or disease.
