What's our business coming to? Call or text? or Both???

Real Estate Agent with Fathom Realty Washington LLC

 Call or text?

Why do I always choose the wrong one? My client chose a from a list of 20 houses, 7 houses he wanted to see. I called the listing agent as per the instructions (2 hour notice) in the MLS listing page and was sent to voice mail after the 6th or 7th ring. The voice mail tells me if I need to get a hold of Becky about an active listing; I can call her Assistant Ashley at XXX-XXXX and she will give me the message or simply text me and I will get back to you ASAP.

I'm driving down the road using my Hands Free Bluetooth (Still legal in our state.) and have to pull over to call back to get the Asst. number. (Why can't they repeat the number? I do!)We call this Phone to Show and so does the MLS. After 6 or seven more rings I get the same message and Ashley's phone number. I dial Ashley and another 5 or 6 rings get her voice mail saying she will be away from her desk Friday March 8th till Tuesday March 12th, please call Joann at XXX-XXXX if you need immediate help or text me.

I don't need to get Joann's voice mail so I text both Becky and Ashley per their instructions and have waited for nearly 3 hours for a reply. NONE! They wanted 2 hour notice and to save their time; we text. No wonder this home has been on the market for over 200 days.

Oh that is frustrating!!  And yes, I think I might have some guesses as to why they haven't sold that house yet....

The same thing just happened to me ..well a similiar situation ...the house has been on the market for 265 days we tried to get an appointment 2 times and we were told the seller was busy try another day..does not sound like a serious seller or cooperarive broker .

Wow, this is happening all over the country. Agent teams -  with numerous #'s and people - and the WORSE communication possible.

GOOD MORNING PAUL!  Anytime I read agent remarks that start with "text me for access info" - I cringe.  Anytime I continually get an agent's voice mail - I cringe!  Disconnected agents is what I think it's coming down to!
