Longview Washington Real Estate Market Review.

The Longview Washington real estate market showed signs of improvement all through out 2012 and the trend has continued on the first two months of this year. Even though housing inventory remains about the same from the same period last year, January and February (combined) sales jump to 50, up from 33 in the same two months last year, a 40 percent increase.

More interesting and encouraging is the amount of activity we are experiencing these first two months of the year in the Longview Washington real estate market, the pending sales (homes that went under contract), those jump to 74 in January/February of this year, up from 34 in the same months last year, a 54 percent increase.

Usually, January and February are the slowest months of the real estate market but this year's February pending sales almost equaled the highest pending sales month of last year. I believe that low interest rate, low home prices and banks loosing some loan rules have help to create all this market activity that is welcome by many especially sellers but not buyers which many of them are straggling to find the perfect home.
