Real Estate Trumps Blogging, Blogging Trumps Sleep

Trumping BloggingWhat a week it has been. Work in real estate has exploded and it has taken long work days to get everything done. Working into the evening hours has taken time away from my blogging. That pushed some of my blogging until the late night hours which took away from sleep. Real Estate Trumps Blogging, Blogging Trumps Sleep.

Running on fewer hours of sleep just doesn’t work well for me. You see I like to sleep. I find it rejuvenating and a real pleasure in life. Getting 8 hours a night makes me happy. Getting less than that makes me feel sluggish.

Being a Realtor in Clarksville TN for over 30 years, I know that these bursts of business come and then settle back down. I love it when things are hopping. I also love it when I have plenty of time to blog. I have been shorted in this area. But I did what I could and took time away from sleep.

This weekend, I am going to get back on track. I will get a little more sleep, work a little less and blog a whole lot more. So when Monday comes I won’t be saying, Real Estate Trumps Blogging, Blogging Trumps Sleep.

If you want a real estate agent in Clarksville TN That knows the market and that has lots of energy and will work hard to get the job done for you, then you need to contact me, The Real Debbie Reynolds at 931-320-6730.

It is good to see that you have been very busy.  You are doing the right thing.  Focus on production when times are good.  There will be more time for blogging on a slower day.

This is one of the things that I do not like about challenges to blog every day.  Too many agents will put blogging ahead of more productive activities that should not be put aside.

Debbie I would think work always is a priority (except for sleep) over blogging but I fit the blogging in when I see a gap here or there and have a quick idea.

Debbie, Those BPOs come in bunches and can be overwhelming. You are probably such a pro on them it doesn't take you long to whip one out.

John and Irma, Its a roller coaster ride and varies by area. You'll be covered up soon.

Judi, Busy lady. Hang in there.

Liz, Blogging is my therapy so I have to find time.

Kevin, Your week sounds so similar to my busy week. Thank goodness for all the great business.

Anna, Doing a little catching up on my blogging. It is restful.

Suesan, I am hoping next week will be a little slower pace.

Roy, I usually have a couple of drafts ready to post but just haven't had the time to stockpile a few. It will change because that is the nature of the business.

Hi Debbie, I agree that real estate trumps blogging.  In my life, the blogging and sleep are still battling for the who gets to trump who spot.

At times blogging is very relaxing.  But, I don't do well without adequate sleep either which in turn affects the real estate.

You're right. But when real estate trumps bloggins, it can sometimes be hard to get back into the blogging swing of things. I'm glad you've got a plan!! Rock both worlds, Sista!!

Hi Debbie.  You're wise to keep an eye on your hours of sleep.  There are many studies about how important sleep is for a healthy body and mind.  Make it a priorty!  Blogging can wait.

Gary, It is relaxing to me to blog so it comes before sleep.

Sondra, Me either. And tonight I lose another hour. DST

Joni, I grabbed a few minutes here and there but not enough. I will catch up some this weekend.

Hi Debbie, I know how your feel, it is good to be busy, and for me just about everything trumps sleep, but Sundays are generally good for catching up on sleep.

Debbie, I agree with you... I know I need sleep in order to function.  I had about 2 horus on Wednesday night, so Thursday was a rough day.

Debbie, my sentiments exactly! I often sacrifice sleep to get more work done. Not a good idea on a regular basis! Sometimes, my brain hurts by the end of the day. I was talking with my son last night and was half asleep as I heard myself say something about "working in New York". I caught myself, and said, "Wait a minute...what does "working in New York" have to do with anything. Has that ever happened to you? Yet, here I am at 11:30 p.m. really interested in going to sleep, but with lots to do still!

Bob, I am going to do a little resting, blogging, cleaning, write an offer and have a business dinner plus church in the morning. But it's all good.

Oh Kathy, not good. I had about 4 hours one night this week and was yawning the next afternoon.

Nina, Time for me to head to bed. I have already lost an hour. Good night.

Debbie: It's great to be busy. But with that, we do need sleep to keep us sharp. I like to multi task, am watching Casino Royale with David Niven and Petter Sellers while blogging here. Very relaxing. Oh, and a glass of wine.

That's where Draft comes in handy, Debbie. I try to have a few  non-date specific items in draft form in Google docs. Something I just click "public" on.

Debbie, you are right, business does trump sleep & blogging. It is good to see everyone so busy. some days there are not enough hrs in the day to do everything. I am so glad I have a tremendous support staff in the office to handle our new home buyers.

Debbie,

With experience comes pearls of wisdom. You know what you're talking about and those that haven't been doing this for 30 years or more should heed your advice.

Everthing you say is true!

John, A nap sounds really wonderful. I think I hear one calling.

Hella, Now blogging with wine and a good movie is a perfect combination.

Toni, I will set me target on that. It's a great back up plan.

Frank, Good for you to have dependable support staff. I am sure you let them know how much they are appreciated.

Barbara-Jo, Business pays the bills and I hope one day blogging will help too.

Gabe, It is good to have so much happening all at once. I know it will settle down.

Patricia, I am making hay. I think I will go to bed early tonight for some catch up ZZZZ's.

Debbie, There's just not enough time in the day to do it all. As much as I like to get my 8hrs of sleep, I like business more so I'll be sleep deprived as long as I need to.
